A young village girl and her grandmother
were rescued early yesterday from the stomach of a wolf by a local huntsman. Both
the little girl and grandmother were eaten by a wolf in their cottage in the
middle of the forest.
According
to police, after wandering off the path on the three mile walk, young Elisabeth—known
as Red Riding Hood— arrived at her grandmother’s cottage greeted by the hungry
wolf. After consuming Red Riding Hood’s grandmother the wolf ate Red Riding
Hood. The two were saved when a local huntsman arrived at the scene and
discovered what occurred and immediately cut open the wolf’s stomach.
Officials
say that the wolf gained information on the location of the cottage after
meeting Elizabeth about halfway through her walk. As the young girl wandered
off the path the wolf snuck to the house and consumed the grandmother before her
arrival.
Mrs.
Riding Hood expressed great relief but informed officials that she had told
Elisabeth to be careful and Elisabeth responded “I promise I will do just as
you tell me.” Fortunately the event had a happy ending because of a local
huntsman.
The
community breathes a sigh of relief today, knowing that this dangerous wolf is
no longer roaming the woods thanks to the brave and fast acting huntsman.
